Update on Survey Results

It's been over a month since the deadline to turn in your surveys.  Only 12 surveys were returned out of 20 that were emailed or mailed out.  Of the responses received, the most popular type of reunion was to  Rent a Beach House (8) followed  Rent a Condo (7) and a tie between Picnic and Water Park ( 6), the rest garnered less votes. 

For those of you who have not yet submitted your surveys, it is important that you do so because every vote counts.  SO PLEASE PLEASE TURN IN your surveys.  We need them NOW because finding a location and reserving the location takes time.  Reservations to beach houses, condo's must be done way ahead of time plus they aren't cheap.   That is all I have for now.

How the Cruz Connextion Family Reunion Came to Life

While picnicking in a Milpitas park in April 2011, cousins Bunny, Irene, Vangie, Bambi and Barb were reminiscing about the past--growing up in Baguio, cousins going on expedition trips in the mountains of Baguio, visiting relatives in all parts of the Philippines, the boys having beer drinking parties, etc. It came to light that the Cruz clan has never had a family reunion.  We decided that it was about time that we had one!  Instead of just talking about it, we decided that, in order to make the reunion a reality, we had to put our ideas in writing.

...(drum roll please.....  The Cruz Connextion Family Reunion came to fruition. 

What does it take to make a family reunion a reality?  Planning, organization, collaboration, and team work from all members of the family, just to name a few.

The first step was to send a survey to all known family members residing in the United States and Canada.This is where we are at now.  Barb sent out the survey during the third week of May and has given family members to respond and return the survey by June 15th.

The second step was creating a website or a blog so that everyone can get updates, download photos and contribute their ideas for the family reunion.  Barb has created this Blog. (Thanks to Vreeland for suggesting creating a Blog/Website). If anyone knows how to create a website, let us know.

We would love to have everyone participate in the planning of the reunion.  Please send your surveys as soon as possible so that we can begin organizing.
